Privacy Policy

Calculator inputs. The information you enter into the pay calculator (branch, pay grade, years of service, location, dependent status) is processed entirely in your browser. None of it is transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere.

Feedback form submissions. If you choose to submit feedback through the "Help Us Improve" form, we collect your star rating, written comments, and optionally your email address. This data is submitted to Formspree (our form processor) and delivered to us by email. We use it solely to improve the tool.

Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use this data for advertising or profiling. See Vercel's Privacy Policy for details.

No account required. We do not require registration, and we do not create user profiles.

We use the information collected through feedback forms to:

• Improve the accuracy of the pay calculator
• Understand which features are most useful
• Follow up with you if you requested it and provided your email

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

My Walk Away includes links to third-party products and services — including VA home loan providers, life insurance comparisons, financial planners, job boards, and certification programs.

We may receive compensation when you click on or make a purchase through these links. This is how we keep the tool free. Our affiliate relationships include the Impact.com network, among others.

Affiliate compensation does not influence which resources we feature or the results the calculator produces. We only link to resources we believe are genuinely useful to veterans in transition.

This site does not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Vercel may set minimal technical cookies necessary for serving the site. We do not use cookies for analytics, retargeting, or behavioral advertising.

We use the following third-party services to operate this site:

• Vercel — hosting and content delivery
• Formspree — feedback form processing
• Google Fonts — typography (Barlow Condensed, Inter)
• Impact.com — affiliate link tracking

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Feedback submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as they are useful for product improvement. If you submitted feedback and want it deleted, email us and we will remove it.

Calculator inputs are never stored — they exist only in your browser session and are gone when you close the page.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of any personal information you submitted via feedback form
• Opt out of follow-up communications at any time by replying to any email we send
• Know what data we hold about you
